Oh no, not another 1001 albums blog
The Scream by Siouxsie and the Banshees (1978) #426/1001

I’ve always had a lot of time for Siouxsie Sioux whatever project she was involved with, though strangely enough I had never heard the debut Banshees record.

Unsurprisingly I thought it was pretty awesome, not a weak track on the whole album and both Sioux’s vocals and Severin’s bass playing are superb.

And they are still the only band I can think of that do a genuinely good Beatles cover.

Next album: Doggystyle by Snoop Doggy Dogg
